Red Bull and Aston Martin's Bahrain F1 Test Disrupted by Technical Issues
The second pre-season F1 test in Bahrain got off to a slow start for Red Bull and Aston Martin, with Cadillac also facing challenges. The morning session was marred by significant reliability problems for both teams.
Isack Hadjar's RB22 session was cut short due to a water leak in the Red Bull Powertrains engine, limiting him to just 13 laps as the team worked to resolve the issue. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso encountered an engine problem with his Aston Martin, completing only 28 laps in the first three hours of the morning session.
The cause of Alonso's issue was under investigation, with a borescope used to examine the Honda engine in the garage. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez of Cadillac faced his own challenges, completing just two laps for over two hours of the session before emerging from the pits in the third hour and posting solid laps, albeit 7.153s behind Charles Leclerc's pace.
